Getting Product Market Fit (PMF) right is fundamental to success for every start up, and yet it eludes many young companies. PMF is an art and a science — strong knowledge of the market is essential to achieving it.
This event focuses on lessons learned from Andy Richman’s extensive experience working with start ups in a wide variety of industries. He’ll provide some case studies and review best practices for assessing the market landscape to achieve PMF early.
Key takeaways:
Andy Richman is a Partner at Product Savvy a leading product acceleration company. In this role he supports fast-growth technology companies develop market leading products. Andy is typically introduced when a company raises its first institutional funding to support product strategy or at later stages to remediate critical product related issues impeding growth.
Recent projects have included supporting the development and launch of a new digital product business for a healthcare organization with several thousand organizational members which include all of the major US health provider organizations. He also has spent time over the last few years leading a number of ‘product turnaround’ projects the most recent of which was acquired by IBM. Andy has also spent time in the last few years supporting a public / private partnership to stand up a startup technology accelerator in the Washington DC Region. As well as business experience of product innovation, Andy also has a strong academic interest.
After moving to the US he was appointed as a member of the adjunct faculty at Carnegie Mellon University where he taught a capstone class for over a decade. Outside of work he can often be found slowly grinding up a hill on his bike so he can enjoy the post ride beer without guilt.
