Barbara Bibas Montero is an investor and one of the early founders of SafetyPay, a venture capital-backed global payments solutions company. During her tenure at the company, she held multiple roles, including COO and CMO, in addition to serving on the SafetyPay Board of Directors. In 2022, the payment platform PaySafe acquired SafetyPay for $441 million as part of its mission to grow its Latin America presence.

Barbara Bibas Montero is one of the founders of SafetyPay, a venture capital-backed global payments solutions company. During her tenure at the company, she held roles of COO, CMO, in addition to serving on the SafetyPay Board of Directors. In 2022, the public multinational payments platform PaySafe acquired SafetyPay for $441 million as part of its goal to expand into Latin America.
Early in her career, Barbara ran her own direct marketing company in Spain with American Express and other financial institutions as clients. She also held various marketing and public relations leadership positions at American Express, Coopers & Lybrand, and Inter-Continental Hotels.
Barbara is currently a business advisor to several tech startups in the cybersecurity, crypto mining, and wellness arena. She holds a B.A. from Boston College, an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management, and is a member of the Wharton School Fellows program. She lives in Miami Beach, Florida.
