 Just as the month closed FN’er Colin Mutchler saw Louder acquired by Change.org. The two B Corps both focus on helping regular citizens exercise their power to promote change – Louder, with amplified linking and Change.org with petitions that scale grassroots to national.
 
Nathan Beckord‘s Foundersuite raised a $935k seed round including – via Founders Network – from Will Bunker. Foundersuite provides SaaS fundraising and business tools for entrepreneurs.
 
Solomon Hykes‘ Docker acquired cloud startup Tutum, a cloud service for managing and deploying Docker containers. By providing an end-to-end service of packaged containers — discrete programming building blocks sometimes called micro-services – Docker simplifies enterprise IT.

Oren Boiman‘s Magisto released a “narration algorithm” to extract dialogue from users’ stories and expanded tools to translate raw camera video into meaningful stories.

Emily Best‘s Seed&Spark – a crowdfunding and distribution tool for filmmakers – launched a redesigned website and welcomed four new team members this month, including a head of original content who will be producing short-form films to continue the conversation between filmmakers and their audiences.

Appthority‘s Domingo Guerra is featured in an analysis of mobile device management – he spoke to the security issues public apps bring to personal devices.

Jack Gonzalez‘s MapJam is now a feature mapping tool in the Weebly App Store. Weebly’s drag-and-drop platform hosts more than 20 million websites, and MapJam offers a drag-and-drop tool for customized, branded map creation and sharing.

Rakesh Tondon‘s on-demand fashion service LeToteexpanded into maternity wear, bringing a subscription rental solution to the months when women restart their wardrobe from scratch.

Deepankar Rustagi‘s VConnectlaunched a redesigned homepage to spotlight customizable merchant stores and products.

And Linden Tibbets (IFTTT) led a notifications summit at betaworks in New York.  His “if this, then that” service connects your favorite apps so that they work together.
