Whether you’re an early-stage startup with just a few employees, or a well-established business with upwards of 500, company culture is important. Research indicates that company culture is a major deciding factor for employees looking for work and the managers hiring them.
According to reports, 46 percent of job seekers cite company culture as very important when choosing to apply to a company. And poor company culture can lead someone to leave a job as well. According to the reports, 47 percent of active job seekers cite company culture as their driving reason for looking for work.
Employers feel similarly. More than 90 percent of managers in the United States say a candidate’s alignment with the company culture is equal to or more important than skills and experience.
However, while company culture is important for companies of all sizes, it can literally make or break a startup, says entrepreneur James Leaverton. On April 28, 2022 he’ll be hosting a webinar for Founders Network members where he’ll discuss how to establish a thriving startup culture.
He’ll also discuss:
- How company culture drives success
- How to amplify employee voices
- The importance of opposing views
- How to eliminate silos
- How to increase transparency
