Vancouver Startup Mentor Programs

The startup scene in Vancouver has taken over the historic area of Gastown. With almost 40% of the downtown real estate being taken over by tech companies, the city is literally being consumed by the movement. Startup Genome’s Report (2018) has named Vancouver the #15 startup ecosystem in the world. With Canada’s supportive immigration policy and its recent rise on the startup list, Vancouver has earned the title Silicon Valley North.

Founders Network’s mission in Vancouver is connecting its Founders and startups with a global support network. Based in Silicon Valley, Founders Network provides Vancouver the ability to access resources only available in the tech capital of the world. We’re a mentorship program that stands behind our Vancouver members.

I've really enjoyed becoming a member of Founders Network. Members are not only helpful, but eager to help their fellow founders. It's not just a place where you can go and receive help and advice, but is an opportunity for seasoned founders to give back to fledging founders in a meaningful way that has real impact.
Mischa Steiner
Founder of Awesense
As a later stage FN'er, I was able to receive very valuable feedback on business strategy from a top investor outside of a pitching context. Provided the investor's guidance, and the support of the FN team, I'm making decisions more objectively and have a more defined product.
Louis-Victor Jadavji
Founder of LocoNoco
I love how the Network encourages me. It inspires me hearing what other founders are doing. And I like how the forum content is organized. I find with slack or other network groups, it's hard to follow everything that's happening. FN does a great job of keeping the wealth of information on the platform easily accessible.

Local Leadership Team

In Africa, there is a saying: 'If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.' The great thing about the Founder's Network is that it's not an either/or! We go together farther AND faster, and actually it's way more fun ;)
Alexandra Greenhill
Founder of Careteam
The fn community has been along for my journey through four startups including one dissolution, one major restructure, a successful exit and now a high-growth, funded SaaS company. Being a Founder is sometimes overwhelming and lonely. This community provides guidance and the lift you need when facing your most excruciating obstacles. More importantly, it's a community that genuinely celebrates your successes along the way!
Neha Sampat
Founder of Contentstack
Founding a business can be a lonely pursuit, but being surrounded by a like-minded community enriches the experience. Founders Network is a cadre who provides concrete perspective and insights. In my experience, it's just as enriching to me as a serial entrepreneur to see what and who is coming next, as it would have been to me years ago as a first-time founder to avoid (some!) rookie errors.
