Panelists:

Wade Pitts

Wade Pitts, CFP® is a managing director at Fort Point Capital Partners. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) from Cornell University. Early in his career, he worked as a software consultant and product manager with an advisor facing FinTech company. He later worked in two prominent U.S. brokerages as Vice President of Technical Sales and Business Development before joining one of his wealth management clients as an advisor.

Fort Point addresses the unique characteristics of each client’s balance sheet and risk exposures. Clients often have complex portfolios that may include substantially concentrated, restricted, or otherwise illiquid assets that require a specialized approach to financial planning and investment management. Wade’s clients are predominately in the technology sector.

Wade and his family recently moved to Salt Lake City, UT. While opening a new office there, he splits time between Salt Lake City and San Francisco. In his spare time, he trains and teaches Krav Maga, the Israeli Defense Force’s fighting system. He is an avid participant of Spartan Races and looks forward to skiing Utah’s world-class mountains, which are just 30 minutes away.

Greg Biagini

Greg Biagini is a partner in our San Francisco office. Greg specializes in providing tax consulting and compliance services to high net worth individuals and their closely held businesses. In particular, Greg has extensive experience with venture capital and real estate taxation at the fund and individual investor levels.

Greg has a broad range of individual clients, including entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, attorneys, corporate executives, doctors, farmers, real estate brokers, philanthropists, and families with multi-generational wealth.

“No two clients are exactly the same,” he explains. “Many of our clients are busy people with demanding careers and limited time. I give clients the personal attention needed to understand their objectives and to address the unique needs of each client. I want to minimize the time they need to think about complex tax issues so they can spend their time doing whatever is most important to them.”

Prior to beginning a public accounting career, Greg was a professional chef and co-owner of a catering company, where he learned the complexities of running a business. Outside of work, Greg enjoys cooking, camping, skiing and boarding on both snow and water, competitive cook offs (“Chopped” style) with his wife and exploring the city with his two daughters.

Stafford Jacobs

I live vicariously through my clients and it’s rewarding to see them succeed. Whether I’m creating a plan to cover their homes, cars and collectibles, or watching their business take off safely with the proper risk management, I enjoy seeing my clients thrive.

With more than 20 years in the industry, I understand the challenges individuals, privately held companies and nonprofit entities face when considering various types of coverage. I’m able to advise on the best insurance solutions as well as guide on mitigating potential losses.

I specialize in long-term relationships with my clients, which ensures their protection stays gap free, and my team is fluent in a wide range of insurance products and coverage options. I came to insurance after studying Business Administration Finance at the University of Texas at San Antonio and I am currently designated a Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist (CLCS).

When I’m not providing clients with the best insurance options, chances are you’ll find me volunteering within my community or spending quality time with my family and our eleven-year-old rescue pup, Remy.

Testimonials

If you don't have a cohort group in something like Founders Network that you can develop long-term relationships with and discuss the same topics that come up with people that you already know, you're probably missing out on something very important.

David Plonsky

The number one advantage is the law of compound interest. The longer you stay in a very high-quality network the strong and more authentic relationships you build.

Chaitanya Vaidya

We know each other's business and we know each other's struggles. Having a personal relationship with other founders that is completely confidential and completely authentic gives you a lot of great advice.

Doug Lessing

FN manages my network for me by connecting me with other founders in my specific industry sector. I've been able to explore business development opportunities, partnerships, etc.

Becky Splitt

We just saw the first Mexican unicorn come to life this same week which is a fantastic idea. Being part of the Founders Network makes a lot of sense. We see that the Mexico City chapter is growing substantially.

Max Linares

There's a lot of great stuff going on even now in San Francisco. I've found Founders Network has been a great resource for me and for all of the founders I know during these tough times.

Jarie Bolander

It allowed me to meet people who had done this before that had the experience. I was able to explain an issue very briefly and they were able to give me a very detailed response on how they addressed it.

Terence Finn

I've used the platform to discover advice, connections, resources, discounts, on important services, connections to investors, and practice on how to pitch. The kind of conversations you can't get anywhere else on youtube or google searches.

Alexandra Greenhill

I see Founders Network as one of those necessary resources in the Chicagoland area.

Jason Jacobsohn

The Black Founders initiative allows me to shape this program where we can inspire, engage, and support Black Founders.
