Description:

“If people like you they will listen to you, but if they trust you, they’ll do business with you.” -Zig Ziglar

Who you are in the digital and virtual world matters more now than ever! In this session, Anne Descalzo & Rachel Zillner, Co-Founders of Clutch, will discuss the five elements of a strong personal brand to elevate your presence, resulting in greater connections, while building trust and creating action.

Presenters:

Anne Descalzo

Anne Descalzo maintains a coexisting love for motherhood and her career. In early 2020, she stepped away from her 14 year career in the financial industry to spark a counterbalance between mothering her two young children and growing Clutch. Founded in 2019, Clutch is a certified women-owned consulting, event management and professional contract holding business, with her co-founder, dubbed as her work wife, Rachel Zillner.

Her vast experience in community relations, client growth and retention and empathetic team management combined with her skills in organizational planning, project management and analysis compliment the needs of Clutch’s client-base. Her passion lies in connecting others to the resources and people on their journey to success. In her previous role, she managed strategic oversight of a $3B credit union’s extensive community involvement and financial health employer program.

In the community, Anne serves on the Folsom Chamber Board of Directors and in the past she served as the 2019 Metro EDGE Program Chair and on the Sacramento Metro Chamber Board of Directors. In 2011, she received her BA from Sacramento State in Journalism, with a minor in Business. Anne graduated from Leadership Sacramento, class of 2015 and in 2018 she was honored as a top “40 Under 40” by the Sacramento Business Journal.

Rachel Zillner

Rachel Zillner has always embraced her entrepreneurial spirit and passion for helping others. Whether it was taking the time to mentor and coach others for professional growth, or building and growing Beat the Room, an escape room business that helped support the dreams of her family. Rachel is someone that gives her all into anything she puts her mind to (or name on). Inspired by her desire to do more for others and her community, she BRAVELY left her position as Vice President of Community Banking and Membership to launch a new business, Clutch. In late 2019, Rachel launched a speaker series called BOLD.

Rachel is a graduate of Sacramento State and has her MBA from University of Phoenix. She has an impressive portfolio of community engagement, including her time as Chair of Metro EDGE and serving on the Metro Chamber and Foundation Boards. She is a graduate of Leadership Sacramento, a 2015 honoree of Sacramento Business Journal’s “40 under 40”, and recipient of the 2018 Executive Woman Award from the Sacramento chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners.

In her personal life, Rachel is wife to David and mom to Paisley (7) and Pepper (5). She hails from Fair Oaks, CA, and spends her free time caring for the chickens and the garden.

Testimonials

If you don't have a cohort group in something like Founders Network that you can develop long-term relationships with and discuss the same topics that come up with people that you already know, you're probably missing out on something very important.

David Plonsky

The number one advantage is the law of compound interest. The longer you stay in a very high-quality network the strong and more authentic relationships you build.

Chaitanya Vaidya

We know each other's business and we know each other's struggles. Having a personal relationship with other founders that is completely confidential and completely authentic gives you a lot of great advice.

Doug Lessing

FN manages my network for me by connecting me with other founders in my specific industry sector. I've been able to explore business development opportunities, partnerships, etc.

Becky Splitt

We just saw the first Mexican unicorn come to life this same week which is a fantastic idea. Being part of the Founders Network makes a lot of sense. We see that the Mexico City chapter is growing substantially.

Max Linares

There's a lot of great stuff going on even now in San Francisco. I've found Founders Network has been a great resource for me and for all of the founders I know during these tough times.

Jarie Bolander

It allowed me to meet people who had done this before that had the experience. I was able to explain an issue very briefly and they were able to give me a very detailed response on how they addressed it.

Terence Finn

I've used the platform to discover advice, connections, resources, discounts, on important services, connections to investors, and practice on how to pitch. The kind of conversations you can't get anywhere else on youtube or google searches.

Alexandra Greenhill

I see Founders Network as one of those necessary resources in the Chicagoland area.

Jason Jacobsohn

The Black Founders initiative allows me to shape this program where we can inspire, engage, and support Black Founders.
