The world knows Silicon Valley as the tech capital of the world, the birthplace of modern innovation. But how did Silicon Valley come to be? Why here, and what was here before its rise?
Join us for a group hike, led by 1st Lt. Pollard, US Army Veteran, as we explore the history of the Almaden Air Force Station and the Cold War. Hear stories of veterans, including the founders of AOL who settled in Silicon Valley, and learn about the first “tech workers” in the area, who might not be what you’d expect.
Good soldiers never leave a friend behind: The event is ADA accessible, with parking available right next to the Radar Tower.
