Topic:

Failure is the part we hate talking about — but it’s a critical component of success.

When Alan Wilson, co-founder of gaming company, Tripwire Interactive, was unable to get venture capital, he and his partners had to bootstrap it. Even more of a challenge, they had to get creative when it came to distribution. Today they are well-established in the industry, with over 40 million units sold. To get there, they had to risk failing, the right way.

Register for Alan Wilson’s Founders Network global keynote about turning failures into opportunities and gain insights into:

  • Taking smart risks and planning for the worst
  • Finding creative methods of funding and distribution
  • Making bootstrapping work
  • Delegating more

This is also the launch of fnDC Chapter.

Presenter:

Alan Wilson

Alan is the Growth Chair of fnAtlanta Chapter.

Ex Biochemist/Immunologist, went into a career in IT and consultancy, finishing with 10 years working around Investment Banking. 2 startups through there, both service businesses. Sold one, closed the second, after having a midlife crisis and co-founding Tripwire Interactive – now one of the premier completely privately-owned and funded video game developer/publishers around. For fun, talk to him about Rugby (English and a Bath supporter), Skiing – and now Atlanta United.
