In just four years, Spacemaker CTO and co-founder Carl Christensen built a groundbreaking AI-based design platform for architecture, construction and engineering (AEC), helping to disrupt an infamously conservative industry with a B2B SaaS offering. Carl shares his journey from idea and execution to Spacemaker’s $240M acquisition by Autodesk as “the next big thing” in AEC.
Register to hear Carl’s playbook on:
Carl is the CTO and co-founder of Spacemaker. He holds M.Sc. degrees in both Computer Science and Business, and has almost 15 years experience from digital innovation and product development. Carl is passionate about creating amazing products that users love, and to build high-performing teams optimised for time to value in order to deliver those products.
Before founding Spacemaker he worked with building and scaling digital products for different companies in the Nordics, over time getting the chance to experiment a lot with how to deliver products and how to organize and lead product teams – and he developed ideas on how to do it better and faster. Back in 2016, he was in the management team of one of the largest Tech consultancies in the Nordics when he found himself searching for a big project to really test these ideas with. So when he saw the opportunity to go on a ridiculously ambitious journey to change the world of construction, globally, he jumped in with both feet, and the rest is history.
