Marquita Jaramillo

Marquita is currently a Program Manager at PIE. She truly enjoys assisting entrepreneurs in getting connected with the appropriate resources. Primarily working to increase access for entrepreneurs through mentorship and community/relationship building.

When she’s not on the job at PIE, she is constantly working towards bettering her own personal/professional growth, spending quality time with her family, cooking new & exciting things, or indulging in a good book.

 

Jim Brisimitzis

Jim has over 19 years of enterprise, channel, and startup experience through companies such as Bell Canada, Nortel Networks, PeopleSoft, Oracle and over 13 years with Microsoft. Jim is the Founder of the 5G Open Innovation Lab in the Seattle. The Lab is a community partnership of private and public sponsors focused on discovering, accelerating, and promoting future 5G inspired used cases and innovation.

Prior to launching the Lab Jim was a Managing Partner for Quake Capital leading their early efforts to establish a presence in the ecosystem. Jim was also the General Manager of the Microsoft for Startups program in the United States and Canada. His team was responsible for startup engagements partnering with leading North American startup accelerators/incubators. Together with these partners Jim’s team engaged over 2,800 startups actively running on Azure through programs such as the Customer Access Program (CAP), technical enablement, and events to help startups accelerate their business. Prior to launching the Microsoft for Startups program. Jim led operations for Microsoft Ventures globally in addition to creating and launching their “HiPo” program; an exclusive engagement for Startups with significant market potential.

Jim has led many internal innovation efforts from SMB mini-servers to hyper-scale computing HW/SW stacks. As an “intrapreneur” Jim appeals to opportunities that help large organization rapidly innovate new and emerging opportunities from concept to customer adoption. He developed the early prototypes for Microsoft Cloud Platform Solution (aka Azure Stack) and holds a patent for a predictive algorithm. He hold a degree in Business Management from Trent University of Peterborough Ontario, Canada. Jim and his family reside in Seattle WA.

 

Nick Jackal

Nick joined Cambia Grove in July 2018 to amplify and grow the work throughout the health innovation community. His primary focus is elevating the programmatic messaging and ensuring that the needs of our community are firmly represented in the pursuit of a person centric, economic sustainable health care system.

Nick is drawn to this work for the vast potential impacts a transformed health care system could have for people from every socioeconomic background. In his previous roles, Nick served as a political campaign operative and consultant for eight years focused building community to take on tough challenges at many levels of elected office across the country.

In 2015, he joined Food Lifeline’s development team eventually transitioning into a community programs role where he led a hunger and health intervention for food insecure type 2 diabetics. In this role, Nick had the privilege of working with representatives from a broad cross-section of the health care industry to develop and launch a robust pilot program with Sea Mar Community Health Centers.

Outside of work, Nick and his wife, Molly, enjoy being parents to baby Eilis and 18-pound cat baby named C.C. Nick relishes any opportunity to sign up and not properly train for half and full marathons, gardening and exploring every corner of Washington state.
